Abertawe Race Nights

Well after a long and fraught track build, (our first track build and maybe our last! lol), we are back to Monday night race nights.

The wood track will need "rubbering in" and we also need to get to grips with RC, so our first few track nights will feature a few fairly relaxed Open GT events and nothing to do with overall championship placings. If you want to "run-wot-u-brung" or just try out a few cars, then you will be most welcome. There will be refreshments, (tea, coffee, soft drinks) and snacks (mostly choccie bars, etc.) available at a small charge.

Our proposed classes for the remainder of the year will be:-

Open GT, (A/W, S/W or inline)

Classic GT (S/W)

DTM (A/W or inline)

LMP (inline)

We will post the rules, code of conduct and race calendar for the remainder of the year very soon, so watch this space! As I mentioned, the initial few race nights will be fairly informal affairs for us to get to grips with the track and any teething troubles that may (or may not) arise, lol

Hang On!

What happened to our Super Affordable & Very beloved Ninco1 class ?

I even got the *Green* motor in, to hop my Vette up, to be competitive against the Mercs!

We know they're not fast, but they produce such close racing.

I hope i'm not in a minority of 1 with his arm firmly up in the air for Ninco1 ?

Forgot to mention, Sandra and myself are planning on being there by 6:00pm so the track should be ready by about 6:30 (ish)
Thanks to everybody who turned up last night to try out the track and had a bit of racing. Apologies for our software/ technical issues, but those teething problems are inevitable on a new track. We will sort them in the coming weeks ready for our launch. Hope you enjoyed nevertheless and we will see you soon.

Just to add to what Sandra has said, apologies for the issues with RC, at least we know what the issues were now and we can do something about them.

More importantly, many thanks to all those who came alone and made the journeys from Cardiff and Llandeilo and even Bryncoch! Thanks also to you all for having patience with us last night while we tried to resolve the gremlins in race mode and we look forward to welcoming you all again.

Thanks to Rick for the photos too, he seems to have caught the exact moment that my Black Arrow Italia was giving Chris' Sideways M1 a little tap!!!! Oops, sorry Chris!

As we have already said on here, we had a disaster with RC which didn't allow us to run the race night that we had planned last Monday night. We anticipated a few teething problems, but although we got plenty of practice in, we didn't manage a successful race event.

With that in mind, we would like to offer all those who attended on Monday evening a free race night on their next visit.

Thanks to all for your continued support. :)

We're racing again on Monday 10t. April. Once again it will be an informal Open GT event, (so run-wot-u-brung) as it's an opportunity for a track and car shake-down especially after the software issues we had last week.

Looking forward to seeing you ther

Racing at Abertawe on Monday 15th. May, bring your Classic GT cars with you.
Brought my virtually stock Slot.it Matra Simca, put it in against some very well prept Thunder Slot Lola's & some Slot.it GT40s = I was pleased to take the nights win! I'm starting to get the wood track sussed guys, even the 'nemesis' yellow lane. Thanks for some Fast-Fun racing. Cheers 'Slot-Dudes' :)
Yes, your Slot.it Matra was flying Rick.

After the initial hiccups with the power supply, we managed a round of shortened but enjoyable and fun races.
