I am a simple soul. I do not travel the world and do not have friends in Spain/France etc. So how can I acquire certian slot cars that seem to be only available overseas?
Formula 1 is my particular weakness and I would very much like to purchase the 4 Formula 1 cars announced by Altaya. (Williams, Ligier, Brabham and Ferrari. I do not want the other cars.)
Is ebay my only option? Is there someone who is subscribing to all editions, but only wants some of the cars?

Any suggestions?

To the point, Delfi_r was offering to do just as you ask. I've signed up with him for the full set (though I suspect I'll Ebay some of the duffers). Search for Altaya or search for him under members and he may be happy to help you and your addiction.

Those cars are form the Scalextric Duelos Miticos Collection. Even it's not impossible to get any particular car, it's not easy as those are sold as weekly issues four for a car on the newstands, and beyond issue 5 they are rare.

This link refers to another collection, Planeta Rally Míticos. It's near the same as Altaya Rally Míticos, but some differencis arise:

They are sold all mounted, twelve cars in a set. 3500 units sold. Available, perhaps for two months. Mine arrived today. The Porsche 959, painted like the Dakar winner (without tobacco labels) and the Seat 850 (a rare model from the Exin days) weren't included in the original Altaya collection. So it's impossible to get individual cars, perhaps some day they will be on sale at eBay. For the complete collection, send a note.

There is another guy who is selling these cars in ebay spain (www.es.ebay.com). Just look for them... although, be careful with the seller...
