I discovered this curious little article recently and thought some of you might find it interesting.

So how did you discover this artifact then Tropi?

I have images of you trawling through the refuse bin behind your local Scaley store?

Or did you dig a hole where the Scalextric Havant factory used to be and where there is rumoured to be a large quantity of old Scalextric kit buried under the ground as it was considered to be most cost effective option to dispose of the factory stock when the factory closed?

You will find many a fellow with metal detectors up there most nights!

We should have more tales of discovery and daring do at Slotforum than we currently have, which starts from the very low base of zero!

I too have one of those artifacts, Tropi

I sourced mine from ebay for the princely sum of 99 pence. It's unfortunate that the speed computer on the other side of the device will not calculate the scale speed for a car which laps quicker than ten seconds even on a 15 meter track
