We did this to our track, Harbour Pointe Raceway, last year. We converted, using the same Power Supply to D143 and left the capability to switch to analog at will. Works great.
I updated my Gallery today, but here are a few pictures of the track and some of the cars we have built, converted for D143.

BTW: The track is reversible for use of the oval for NASCAR.
