It's a very interesting chassis - seemingly a blend of pro-class metal hinge construction but with VERY lightweight plastic panels rather than brass plate. It does look a little vulnerable in places!
The other curiosity, for me, is the guide, with the braids folded over the front edge, but no very obvious means of attachment to it. I can only assume thay they are glued on to the plastic. The braids look immaculate in this photo, but how did they stand up to what must have been pretty vicious racing?
