Hello,
new to the hobby and thinking about making my own track, but not sure how difficult that might be. Has anyone here done this or know of a tutorial on the web?

I saw the one at www.oldslotracer.com, but didn't have too many specifics that a novice like me would need to know...

I probably should have added, make their own track from wood, i.e, route thier own slots, cut the track, etc. Thanks again.

Oldslotracer is really one of the best sites for that info. He also sells a great video and router guide for $40, if memory serves me. I plan on getting that to do mine.

Several years ago I built a modular routed track. It was designed for two HO cars or one 1/32 car. I just didn't have the space for a permanent layout anymore. Although far too wordy for the little decent info it offers, and lacking in photos, you might something of interest in this article:
