Arc Pro IR sensors Extension?

On the ARC Pro power base are two IR sensor pickups for when cars cross it for lap counting. Let's say I had a spare turn lane changer, like C7007 for example, that has a 1/4 straight with two IR sensors. Could I wire the IR sensors from the ARC PRO BASE to the IR sensors in the 1/4 straight so I can have 4 lanes of racing with each lane counting a lap? Does the Arc Pro care which IR sensor picks it up or just that AN IR sensor got triggered...

For some reason the search isn't pulling it up but 4-lane ARC PRO has been discussed here before...

GregK, Ade or DR_C might be able to explain why it won't (or why it might) work...
