I have just ordered the new Scalextric Lambo's as these have the highest score. I will work on getting these painted when they arrive.

The date has now been set for the 2nd July 2011 and we will be racing the Scalextric SR Lambo's

These have now all arrived and I will be getting the painted over the next couple of weeks ready for the race, this time i will ensure they are all up and running 1st.

BIG UPDATE

Gary from MRE has agreed to sponsor this event for me.

The details are still to be finalised but it looks as if the following will be supplied as prizes

For the best driver of the event (Claculated by the combined laps throughout the day) there will be prize of a 2011 release slot car
For the best team there MAY be a car each.

Details will be clarified nearer the time.

There are still spaces available for the event so please contact me if you wish to join us.

Why dont you clarify that before you announce it? Also a more original event name would attract people in

I wont have the exact details till 2 weeks before the event, and depending on the amount of racers will depend on the number of people in each team, this will then effect the number of prizes I need.

If you can think of a better name I'm open to suggestions

Although I doubt I will be able to repeat the success that Dave and I enjoyed at the first event now there is the pressure of wanting to win an actual prize!

Well as we found out last time, its faster to go slower and stay on the track than go fast and come off

Ok here we go then.

for the best driver of the day (total number of laps, worked out prorata in the event of uneven number of turns at driving)

For the best team (total number of laps over the day)

in the event that both team members want the same car the choice will go to the driver who got the most laps, again prorata.

In the event that we have more than 12 racers and race three per team I will provide a similar value car as the third prize.
