Hi fellow slotters. Just need to get this out to you all.
It's important so please read it all.
As you are aware we have been having some very annoying issues popping up on the forum for the last while. I have been in constant contact with VS about these issues. Forbidden etc.
And of course our Plus+ membership has been an utter failure lately. Having looked into it and being unable to get it fixed so members actually get value for money or even just the ability to sell items I have concluded it is not fair to existing nor those wishing to purchase and being unable.
So I am asking that no one sign or attempt to sign up for Plus+ , and if you are on the auto payment plan that you cancel your automatic payments.
Plus+ is currently not able to provide any of the good benefits with the exception of the Pendles discount.
Please cancel your auto renewals and do not purchase or attempt to purchase Plus+.

Your team of mods and admin are looking for a way to combat these issues with the least amount of instability possible.
I will keep you updated in our discussions and potential solutions.
Take care, save your money and put it toward a new slot car.
My apologies for this inconvenience and promise we are trying to come up with a viable solution.
Cheers All
Bob on behalf of the Admin/Mods Team

Happy to.

How?

I see no way to change anything. I can't find a subscription to cancel, a pending charge to cancel, or even my payment information to delete or change to something that won't work.

did you do it on paypal?

find the last charge in your history to VS, there you will see a change button for preapproved payments. Click and choose to cancel future payments

Thanks for the tips. Sadly, neither worked. I wonder if I have a different interface and different options due to location.

There is no "change" or any other useful buttons or links in the last transaction.

Vertical Scope does not appear in my Automatic Payments list.

I can find no way to un-pre-approve their charges. :(

I can't find any records of paying Vertical Scope. I don't think I have been charged for Plus+ membership for about 2 years yet I am still shown as a Plus+ member (I think).

Can't see any pre-approvals on PayPal or my Bank.

This is not a manual payment. I did not make this payment. It was paid automatically. I had no way to stop it. I reviewed all three payments made to VS I could find in my history, and they all look the same. No useful links to stop the payment.

Strange. Mine was automated as well. After clicking the blue link it gave me the option to stop the automatic payment to VS.

Software looks the same. Only mine in the header says "Pre-approved Payment"

Hello Greg,
The Pre-Approved or Pre-Authorised payments on PayPal are visible via the Settings Cog at top right and then <Payments> at top centre. Then click <View> to see them. Select <Inactive> and back to <Active> as neccessary.
PayPal seems to be the only bank available in the UK that allows account holders to have control of these situations. With other banks they tell you to contact the recipient of the payment and that can be hassle. Its a scandal that the banks need to be chase on.

I appreciate all your help, and I'm sorry that we are having to repeat ourselves, but I've done both of those things, as Colin and Keith suggested several posts back. As I responded then, there is no such link on MY PayPal, and Vertical Solutions does NOT appear in my Automatic payments manager. I have other things there, but they are all clearly recognizable and none of them are VS. I don't feel the need to post another screen shot to visually prove what I am saying.

Please note that I'm in the USA, not Europe. I think it's clear that the PayPal I get is different from yours, most likely due to laws and regulations that are different there than they are here. If anyone in the USA with a Plus+ membership can find a way to stop it, I would certainly be grateful for the help.

If you guys find some OTHER way to stop it, I will also try any new suggestion.

The decidedly broken Client Area shows that I've paid for my membership, but no information on how that payment was made.

The charges appear in my PayPal history, as shown by the screen capture I posted earlier.

I specifically recall using my PayPal to pay for the membership, and I get a notification that I paid the renewal each August.

I am REALLY hoping that I'm just blindly missing something obvious, but I can't keep looking in the same place for the same things you guys keep pointing at. It's just not there.

Greg, just looked back at you payment record and it's not showing as a pre approved payment, see the post above by RikoRocket. I'm not a plus member so don't know how it works for payment, maybe someone can confirm, but do you get sent a payment reminder and then pay via paypal if no auto payment setup?

Hub, you should be OK.

Is there anyone in the states that has PayPal that can help MrFlippant?
