Hi,
I have had the Audi R10 for 2 or 3 years, and it is great !!! But yesterday, it stopped working.
I changed the pick-up braid, and nothing happened. I think it is a problem with the motor.
I emailed Scalextric, and they said the same.
As the warrinty has expiered, they said I should buy new parts.
But there are 2 problems:
1. I am only 12, and I am rubbish at DIY.
2. I live in Spain, so everything is twice as expensive. (eg. Postage Costs)

Please could someone advise me what to do ???

It's worth checking out the wiring from the guide to the motor.
It's possible there is simply a wire fallen off. if it is reconnecting it will solve the problem.
If the motor has failed it will need replacing.

Replace the diesel engine with a petrol engine ( !!! )

Connect 9Volt battery across motor connections to see if motor runs.
The recent Scalextric cars with the round "plate" braids can suffer wiring failuire to the guide.
