What I see googling is that the headlights aren't correct??

 

I'm guessing around 1965-1966?

 

Further investigation suggests the Aurora Ferrari Dino 166 P headlights are closer to 1965.

Thank you for the find of the year. I didn't go back enough. I have magic markers and what to doll it up a bit. (I know it's vintage but it's my toy and they are plenty out there... )

It's interesting to see the covers in from of the A pillars are actually body color.

In the Aurora model, the meatball is only on 3 sides. At first, I thought it was just my copy. Now I know the Aurora Tuff One Dinos are all like that. Was the 1:1 versions like that as well?

The meatballs came in variations on real cars depending upon what the rules required.

Here's the way mine came. No clue how many previous owners.

 

Here's the Dino at the Nurburgring in '65. It was driven to 4th overall by Bandini/Vaccarrela.

 

As the pics below show, the 1966-68 Dino was a different car from the 1965 version modelled by Aurora. Hope this 'elps a little.

 

The proportions of the HO version look nicer than the real 65. The 65 had an out of proportion cabin windows.
