I don't know if you have seen the Twin Cam Austin at Donington Museum (if it is still there since they have been flogging off most of the best cars from the collection!!)

Just in case you haven't seen it, there is a letter and a photograph about the Austin Twin Cam driven by Walter Baumer at the 1936 Eifel race in the February 2012 Classic and Sports Car magazine. The picture does seem to me to be a side valve version.

Charlie Fitzpatrick also produces a resin shell of the car in his "Classic" range and I remember him racing it at Wolverhampton a few years ago. I can't answer which maker is the most accurate though.
