I have 4 SCX F1 cars, my friends are very rough on them and they have held up very well. Most damage is the just the front suspension, and then only the kingpin pops out of the upright for the steering. They pop right back in, but sometimes are hard to see with old eyes. The other problem was losing a front wing as they are clipped onto the struts. A little glue has stopped that. The guys really like the F1 cars and since they are not theirs race to win at all costs. My only experience with Scaly F1 cars are the new classic 1957 models. I am off to the Chicago hobby show this morning and Scalextric/hornby is to be there. I may reconsider buying any of their F1 cars after reading this post.
