Japanese Bandai is probably not the most common brand in the HO slot racing world.
They seem however to have had some quite odd and unusual cars in their range.
Among the paperworks in a recently acquired Bandai set I found this pamphlet
containing eight Bandai HO cars (maybe even ten), of which I've only ever seen the
Porsche and the Ferrari before.

Here's the pamphlet showing eight separate cars, with another possible two in the
top picture (the white and the green one).

Here's an enlarged compilation of the group of eight:

The set:

The Ferrari:

The Porsche:

The Bandai chassis:

Thanks Bertil, very interesting set - any idea what year it was? At least late 60s, early 70s judging by the models offered.

Which makes it all the more strange that they were still using a worm gear! That had probably gone out of fashion in the States by 65 or so, with the Atlas Midget cars...

Don, sorry my Japanese skills doesn't allow me to make out any time period for this set.
But judging by the cars, early to mid-1970 is probably the time frame.

Over at Bernards museum I also found more varieties for some of the cars:
A yellow Ferrari 312 and a red/orange Porsche 917. Plus the BMW and the Lola.

Interesting cars but for what its worth that Ferrari 312 is a 512S

The BMW is either a Toj or a Lola but possibly a Chevron my money is on a Toj
