I sent a message asking if I could pick up a couple of his fifty sets and pay cash on collection. Not surprisingly I have heard nothing

The listing has now disappeared. I suspect eBay realised that it was a scam. It was basically a copy & paste job from a respected eBayer in the US. If you want that exact set it'll cost £140 plus shipping from the US - a more realistic bargain.
