Hi Joe.

I made some cheap tyre walls for the club track, I used electrical 20mm conduit cut into 60mm lengths then hot glued together. Then using red & white electrical tape I then wrapped them up.

Cost of conduit from electrical wholesalers is about £2 for 3m & the tape is about 70p a roll.

Also, for fences have a look at the scrim netting that plasters use on the joins between plaster boards. Its about £5 for a large roll from wickes.

I spend most of my time on building sites & I am always thinking about what can be recycled into slot car stuff

Cheers Paul.

My old story:

Linky

Text in finnish, but pictures are self-explanatory. Borders are foamboard. That is board which has urethane fill in the middle and top layers are cardboard. Fences are cardboard. These are easy to build with minimal cost. You can strenghten the structure by using long nails to bind cardboard fences to foamboard borders. Top of the fence (black part) is soft self-adhesive sealant rubber. These are modular and re-useable. I have used this kind of border-fences in several events like this one

Cheers!
