Sorry,we just can't help ourselves.
We're old fashioned, and still think 1/32 cars should actually BE 1/32.I know it is kind of radical thinking, but, hey, that's just us.

Al, I too would rather see Tyrrell blue, and would have thought that it would be the logical choice for a model of this car - really, the only choice. I too am disappointed if this is the choice of livery for the model.
If I get my hands on one, it will end up blue.

On the other hand, we can't ignore the fact that the tobacco industry has, in fact, driven the development of motorsport more than any other industry, over the years since sponsorship first appeared. Like it or not, that is history. Let's not try to rewrite history in our modelling if we don't personally sanction smoking. To do so would be "Macarthy-esque", and we would miss some great models and liveries, in my opinion... in fact, perhaps MOST models and liveries!

Besides, owning one of these will not make you start puffing...

Beardog here....IT WILL BE BLUE, Al would never forgive me, but Uncle Ken had to go with French colours, whats wrong with BRG?

Let alone BAR colors, and I used to work for the Ad agency that originated this crap, how an American Icon (Lucky Strike) ends up owned by the British is beyond me.

I smoke...but disagree with tobacco sponsorship...and you ain't going to see a Beardog in tobacco colors, because it's corrupting a minor, (we're only 18 months old, and Uncle Al would dis-own me.

Hmmmm.... I smoke too, Chris... but ME disowning you won't work like it will with Al...
Okay, I love it whichever way you produce it!
The model is gorgeous! If I sounded strong, I just don't want to see political correctness enter into the modelling of cars, it doesn't belong here - none of my 1/32 people smoke anyway!
Beautiful job on the car!!!

Chris, if it's any consolation, British American Tobacco (BAT) is in fact a South African owned corporation! It's also the 16th biggest corporation in the UK.

Around 15 years ago, the South African Rembrandt Group empire consolidated their offshore interests into the Swiss-based Richemont group, and four years ago Rothmans, two-thirds owned by Richemont and one-third by the Rembrandt Group, merged with BAT. They recently announced a merger in the US between BAT subsidiary Brown and Williamson and RJ Reynolds as well.

The Lucky Strike brand and motor sport in South Africa go back many years.

Kind regards

Russell

PS: I also smoke!

I just buried my father from cigarette smoking! Would I buy a car for a cigarette livery - never! But I have bought it for the driver's name. My dad died because the [email protected]#$%ds enhanced the addictiveness and had him hooked until he was bed ridden and I refused to buy him more, but then it was too late. Would I stop you from buying or smoking? Never as a man has a right to hurt himself in my opinion. Race drivers know the risk of driving and smokers of smoking. I despise political correctness, intrusive government, and tobacco executives. Off the soapbox Danny - NOW! I love the car beyond words and thank beardog for making it.
