Ever since I saw Dave Wisdom’s Bill Shaw Rover build I’ve wanted this car in my collection.

I recently acquired a resin kit from Dave Capelen.

Upto now I’ve filled in and recut the near side lower doors shut line and have re-profiled the near side wheel arches.
Once I’m completely happy I will make templates from these and do the other side.
I’ve also added vents at the side of the whale mouth, which I’ve also cut out, along with the bonnet vent.

I have made a basic (and a bit rough) a brass chassis for the car.
Wheels and inserts are from RS Slot Racing.

Quite a way to go, but I’ll get there.

Thanks for looking.

There should have been a commercial full-size version, anti-BMW!
There were a few development P6Bs knocking around Solihull that could have done just that if they'd been produced en masse. One I saw had the magic letters 'Traco' on the valve covers. ;)

The Rovers coming together.

I’ve made a dashboard out of my plasti-card in keeping with the original car.
Need to get a better head and sort the front seats out.
I’m going to apply the clear coat prior to decals, but going to give the paint a little longer to harden.

All the best,

Brian
