The black Scalextric inner and outer borders are now available in Europe.

The borders are totally black, have a black flat (not humped) kerb and the normal grey Armco style barrier. These borders are designed to make the track wider without the raised red/white kerb seen in the standard range.

The Americas get everything three months +, after we read about it on SF. Plenty of stuff never, ever! Particularly parts. Fortunately, Pendle and Getslotted are provideing some relief. Wish we had more euro advertisers, with an english button.

Whilst I can't say about availability in other European markets, the black borders are not available in the UK - I believe they are still US only.

Somewhat confusingly, they have been listed on the Scalextric website for some time - though they tend to list all products and not just those with general UK availability.

Just because they are listed though, doesn't mean they are available everywhere.

Hello

Did anyone ever get hold of these in the UK. With exchange rates so favourable surely one of the major retailers could import a large quantity and sell them at a reasonable price. Better still could the same retailers not lobby Scalextric to make these available in the UK.
