Prompted by Wrexham's Ferrari day...

Suggested list of cars:

Ninco:
M3, X5, Mini

Fly:
M3, 3.5l, 320i

Cartrix:
Z3

Scalextric:
3.5l, Mini, M3, M1

SCX:
M1

What do you reckon? If there's more than 20 people interested, then I'll set it up.

It'll be no mags, no cutting to chassis or body, slot.it bits allowed.

Respond asap.

It'll have to be before Inte get's his license, I want to get one more weekend of ribbing in!

I don't think anymore rules are needed really:

- Car must be based on one of the above (post if you can't see the Beemer that you want to run).
- Chassis or body cannot be cut/filed/scraped/anything which removes plastic(except to put a hardwired guide into a Scalextric car).
- No motor rev limit.
- All parts (excluding body and chassis) may be replaced with upgraded parts.
- Weight is permitted.
- The following is not allowed: pneumatic tyres, ball races, magnets.
- Controller boxes are allowed but no capacitiors or electrical storage devices to be used.

How's that? Post if I missed anything. Don't post if you are gonna bitch that the rules allow modifying.

On the Eastcote track the Ninco LMP will have little advantage, if any, over the Ninco M3. The M3 will be superior to any of the other cars Lotus suggested. There would be more chance of a varied grid if the LMPs are allowed.

I'll let you into a little secret...

I completely forgot about the LMPs...

But as Graham said, saloon racing would be good...

I'll test at Eastcote on Wednesday and report back my findings.

July 11th is free in the overall sceme of things, so I will check this with 'Eastcote man' and see.

Actually, Roly, can you bring some of your (many) V12's?

I will bring my M3 and V12, but I suspect that the M3 will kick ass. I just remembered that my M3 is only 0.3 secs slower than my Ninco Merc CLK with an NC5... Cool

Feel free to post if you are interested.

Yes your right Driver, July 11th is LGTC round 4 at Viking. Eastcote BMW day will probably be on 18th July. Awaiting confirmation from Brian. M3 vs V12 shoot out will now be tonight at Eastcote. Didnt have time last night, too busy testing new Fly Racers.

Tested the BMW M3 against the LMP V12s last night at Eastcote. Best times as follows.
V12 LMP NC2 12.95
V12 LMP NC3 12.75
V12 LMP NC5 12.6
LM V12 98 NC2 12.91

M3 NC2 12.9
M3 NC5 12.78

Not a lot in it, all cars were no mag standard tyres screws loosened and exhausts removed on M3s. I would suggest that if the LMPs are allowed they be restricted to NC2 and standard wheels and tyres.
