Revell appear to be one of the first manufacturers, offering complete bodies in the future, already assembled and painted (Daytona, etc).
Also, Scalextric model kits could be a possible alternative, looks like they will be releasing a few more kits later this year too.
The white Scalextric cars were a good idea, but too expensive and limited in the U.K. which kind of defeated the object.
