"It was forwards racing for us in round 5"

Yes, as folk from Oxford will gleefully tell you, I do occasionally try reverse racing. Mostly when I've been 'tuning' a car and conspired to get me wires crossed. #Muppetry

These race reports keep making me want to rock up and, er, race, on that smooth track of yours. Perhaps I'll try and plan a run south with your schedule.

Note to self: bloody make sure your guide wires aren't all a**e about face if you do go.

No problem, Wankel, our track is muppetproof! All lanes are individually reversable.

Mondays and Thursdays every week - bank holidays and severe snow permitting.

Round 6 reverse direction, the first series of the year speeds towards its conclusion as 8 of us battle it out.

Jim kicked us off with ProTrucks, which Tony won with 30.

It was oriental time with Keith as he found a diverse collection of JGTC, Jim took the prize with 31.

I chose the hard working party set of 575s, this produced some close racing which Tony won with 27.

Tim went for Fly 512, they did him no favours but Wes popped up from the doldrums to win with 29.

Tony finished us off and the evening with Group B, which gave Jim another win.

Jim took the evening honours with 137, with Tony 7 behind. My 112 was good enough for me to win the Clubman class. Next round will be on April 9th. Bolwextric Racing results.

Just to say the scores n points for R7 are now on line. With some regulars away it was just 6 racers with 6 classes, apparently enough to cause mega confusion amongst everyone except Wes, or that is what he is saying. A wide range of class picks - from the mighty SCX Lorries to the titchy Carts, and a touch of Ninco open wheel action as well, Jim came the closest to full house heaven with 23 out of possible 25 in BTCC, while both Luke and Jason struggled with SCX GT which surprises me as they are not the trickiest. (That's SCX GT are not tricky, but not Jason or Luke, as in they are not tricky) hole digging stopped !

With the final round on the 23rd, we will be circulating backwards. Although a series winner looks already in the bag there is a tasty tie for second place ready to be unpicked.

Easy one this week, Will!

Dave seems to have scored very well in Clubmans even though he was still absent on recuperation duty.

Plus I think Wes was referring to last Thursday rather than this Monday, but I'm sure it was all in his head anyway.

Well done Jim, you made quick work on this weeks forensic challenge, even with it hidden in darkest clubman land. I wish Dave all the best and a great recovery, but giving him some bonus points is probably going too far, and unfair on Luke whose points they were.

This is the wrong thread for this, but I really enjoyed last night, with each of my own cars for 3 classes able to put on a reasonable show and getting some great racing as well. Of course it won't last as I find as a class progresses others get their own cars or tweak what they have, which increases the challenge for me, especially as my fleet benefits from zero maintenance. If it gets to the end of a race - that's good enough for me. To finish my night with a Team Wambulance 1-2 was an unexpected bonus.

Keep up the good work Jim :)

Just to say the results form Mondays ROUND 8 are fanaly on line. Being round 8 it was the final round of the first series and should have been run in backwards direction - it wasn't. Also The final class was not recorded, I think it was DTM picked by Jim. Jim won the series and Jason won Clubmans, which means he has been moved out of clubmans for now.

A good nights racing which was almost won by ME :) Keith took the victory but it was a close call.

Another wet afternoon (April showers?), which means I have updated the web site page that shows the archived results.

I also looked up the lucky person that will be put back in clubmans - guess what IT'S ME.

If like me you are fed up with the weather and want an excuse to fall asleep staring at a screen may I recommend the Bolwextric club results archive page, and if you get to the bottom of that there is a link straight to the Manor Farm Archive page - sweet dreams!

With Tony away there just 6 of us to kick off the second series of 2018. With new classes on Thursdays just coming into play many classes were picked to help find the best of the qualifying party sets. However by the end of the night we had decided that it was more likely the red lane was fastest rather than any cars thereon. Jason has now got us the big screen working with a useful set of info, personally I would like to junk the graduated red backgrounds to something plain and less eye watering - but don't ask me to try and change it !

GT40 was Keith pick, a wise choice as he won with 19, as this was a night of 6 classes the max score per class was 25. Both Luke and I got off to a lack lustre start, with Luke getting the nights rock bottom score.

Jim went for end cupboard Golf, but he had to put up with tying with Wes for 2nd on 18 points, Keith was on fire with a winning 21 and the nights highest class score of 21. I was doing particularly badly, despite a win 3 out of 5 last places (surely a capital offence with Golfs), I slumped to my worst class.

Jason reached for the Skylines - did you see what I did there? But it turned into an unlucky 13 for him as Jim won another class with 19.

Wes went out west with Hornby Muscle, cast iron billets and drum brakes did him proud as he equalled the nights best to win with 21.

At the break Wes was leading with 75, Jim then Keith not far behind. We talked about the touring cars from Thruxton and the dissapeared picks for the next MFR classes. (The back of the score sheet was blank).

It was Hornby 911 from me and I did manage a couple of wins but this was NOT my night. Jim won with 21 again but Wes was just a point away to keep his winning hopes alive.

Luke punted for Punto (OUCH), which Jim won with 20.

So in the end it was Wes on 113 but Mr Moyes sneaked another nights win with 114. Jason was revelling in his new found non Clubman status and started the evening really well, but the Clubman class on this night was between Luke and me, which I won with a not very convincing 87.

Next round is on June 4th when we should be going in REVERSE DIRECTION....... More info on Bolwextric Racing results on line.

Round 2 had 8 of us racing in reverse direction.

Jason kicked us off with his pick of NC1 Clio, Tony got off to a good start, winning with 31, Jim was runner by a point.

29 was enough for Keith to win with his pick of NC1, Tony's plan for world domination took a hit as he finished last in class with a very unlucky 13.

I thought the Cosworths needed a run and they kept me scoring well with another mid 20 result. It was another win for Keith with 30, Tony was next in with 28.

At the break it was Keith in the lead on 85, several of us weren't far behind lead by Jim.

Hornby Nascar was Luke's pick, and they did him proud giving him his best score, Wes and I battled is out to finish on 26 each, but Tony won with 27.

Tony went for Fly Lorry but it didn't work for him as Jim won with the nights top score of 34, Wes lead the rest of us with 23.

Jim took the night with 139 with Keith next on 124. My 118 got me the Clubman gong. Next round is on the 18th. Bolwextric Racing results.

I realise you are entirely blameless in this Will, but the first class was NC2 Clios and the second was Ninco One Camaros.

On the Manor Farm new picks, the F1 class is for modern Hornby "narrow".

Clio, NC2 Clio, Clio Mk2? Looking at past classes these are the Clio types shown. Are we talking the same car sets or is there another variant that we run as a class?

Yes, I thought NC1 was a bit vague, but I couldn't remember which Ninco One we ran. Doh!

Thanks Jim - I will change the web site.

There are NC1 Clios and NC2 Clios in the club stock. By coincidence they happen to tally with the real cars being Mk1 and Mk2.

I think several of the club Mk1s (NC1) have suffered the common problem of the rear axle mounts failing, so we haven't used them for a while.

Tim has pointed out an error in the clubman score listing on line.

The clubman scores did show an error, now corrected, relating to Jason, BUT not as spotted by Tim. The error was: Jason should not have been listed at all. Because by dint of winning two clubman series, Jason has been moved out of clubman class, for now.

Just to say even if England are playing in the World Cup, the plan is to still run next Mondays Bolwextric. So if you want to come along, please do, unless you hear otherwise from Tony.

Looks like the call to GS bore fruit!

Explaining that finishing second means less tiring travel for the team and I get to go racing on Monday night must have got through!

With the arrival of a new member we managed 7 of us racing in forwards direction. We welcomed Alex to the fray, he has been involved with the Clanfield RC side of things for a while.

Tony picked Hornby GT3 to get us started which he won with 32, Jim was 4 behind.

512 CL was a Tim thing which Tony also won with 28, 25 was good enough for Jim to take 2nd. Alex clocked a very creditable 15, not bad for only his second ever class.

The finish was the same order in my pick of Golf, this time scores were 31 & 29.

The break saw Tony on 91 with Jim on 82. Tony decided to change how upgrades are decided from Clubman class, more on that in next thread.

Jim decided to focus on Focus which he managed to equal win with both Tony and Keith also sharing the same score.

Jason decided to become unpopular by picking 2CV for the final class, they were good for him and gave him his best class. A couple of lucky wins (is there any other kind with 2CV?) boosted me into equal 2nd with Tony with 25 each. Jim took the class with 28.

Tony won the evening with 144 with Jim next on 138, Keith was 3rd on 124. My 110 was a clubman win.

Next round will be in reverse direction on July 16th, scores are here, and the new Clubman regs are to follow.

CLUBMAN REGULATIONS CHANGE

As from now:

The only way to promote from Clubman is by winning entirely an evening or a series.

There is no path back into Clubmans, once you are out - you are out.

The idea behind these changes is to keep Clubman class better populated.

It will also be much simpler to manage, which is a very good idea. :)
