OK, what do you do?
Keep to the tyep that came with the car. Hornby, Carrera, Ninco type, Standard as it where.
Of fit others?

I'm a Slot.it braid type of guy. And fit them to all my cars.
Did try NSR, they lasted a few laps.
Carrera, Hornby, way to thick.

So, what do you guys use?

Not being a club racer I run with the originals until they die, then change them. I've heard others change them straight away.

The SCX Pro braid is nice and soft yet still wears very well. Currently trying MB Slot as my favourite pusher had no SCX in stock. But I think I'll be going back to the SCX when I run out.

I am not a club tacer but I definetively prefer slot.it braids.
Quite happy with NSR ones but as you said they have shorther life but perform well.

SCX is something new from me and I must say it is a another category but very much enjoyable on its own.
I have not tried yet to change the braids anyhow.

Cheers,

I change mine immediately currently using JP Slot braids, they go forever!

Is the solder wick a viable option in the Scalextric quick change discs? I tried some JP Slot braid in a SSD car, and it wouldn't work for me at all - of course the digital aspect might add a level of complication.
