The bandwidth is very bad here
and I somehow messed up the front page

I'll fix that sometime soon, but it may have to wait for me to get home.

I have lots of info and I'm sure we'll be talking for months about it. I've asked some of the Scalextric developers to contribute (apart from just monitor the forum) and if they're allowed, they will. Very nice guys.

The one big thing is that the Scalextric Digital is very obviousy a prototype and not working 100%. The SCX is quite fun, but nerfing rules and you need marshals at every lane changer.

The Scalextric software is stunning!
Think RMS x 100 and then even more. 3D everything, cataloging, databases, full race management and telemetry, Internet racing, virtual racing and Challenger stlye - race against the system. This is going to blow some of the competition out of the market!

Whilst that is an excellent photo of the blue Camaro with the heading "Doug does Scalextric Digital" you haven't "done it" until you show a picture of the Camaro switching lanes rather than going straight on.

Ditto SCX and Carrera.

Its all a bit like bungee jumping really. Are we going to believe that you have jumped if you only show a picture of you standing on the platform?

However, to be fair I know that you are not thinking camera angles right now but "how can we sneek another session in on those digital circuits without anybody looking/knowing?"

Very cool live reporting! Well up.

Your fans are begging: MORE - MORE - MORE!!!!!!

I liked the Scaley Corvette Convertable - not for me but cool.

Ninco's TT relivery works for me - my Red Bull and Hasseroder versions are two dark horse favs in my collection - sounds like the death watch over Ninco was premature.

Moto GP - yawn, not my cup of tea, never will be

Digital (ALL) - yawn - reminds of toy like enthusiasm thrust upon Tyco's TCR and Aurora's Ultra 5 several moons ago - suprised I haven't hear the term Jam Car yet (again!) . Irony is these slotless lane changing HO systems of the past were the beginning of the end of the last great slot wave...

To me its the whole controller, controller base, scoring tower LED that looks hokey from my perspective. That and I don't need new technology thanks, i like the way it works already!

Cant wait for the rest of the reports and then in a couple weeks Germany.

Here's a semi live shot taken 5 minutes ago out my studio window in Toronto...

Slot news is a nice diversion from winters wrath.
