Nothing like a bit of early notice to support planning.

Rockingham are excited to announce a race meeting for BRM 1/24th Mini and Group 2 cars, with cars in box standard format.

Wheel Automotive parking light Tire Car Vehicle

We will race on both the raceway and scale track, with racing on all 10 lanes and then step up finals, so lots of racing.

Doors will open at 8.15, with practice till 10.00, and racing starting at 10.30. £10 per entry, which also covers tea and coffee.

Already have a mix of cars for entires, with minis, escort, Kadett, abarth, escort and Alfa all making an appearance so far.

Minis seem to have the edge on the scale track, nimbler and with their small wheels better acceleration that suits the twisty track.

On the larger open raceway the larger cars have the edge, better top speed and carrying momentum are key characteristics.

So using both tracks will make the event interesting to see what comes out on top.

excellent roger
we are racing on our scale track fro the next 3 Firdays BRM 1/24 Group 2 and mini cars, if anyone wants to join in the more the merrier.

Pete has made a little video of it in another thread.

Good mix of cars, with the VW Scirocco, couple of escorts, an alfa, kadette, a few minis and an abarth all competing.

Mulitiple winners but the Alfa came out on top, from the Abarth and then the minis. Over a sprint 20 laps race all but the Kadette and Sciroco were in the mix currently, but I expect improvements from them

Both classes running together. On our scale track both classes run pretty close, we have not tried them competitvely on the raceway. On our first week the Alfa came out on top followed by an Abarth, in the second week it was a mini leading the field followed by an escort (BRM chassis)
