Select Bookmarks menu, right click on one of the folders and select: 'Sort by Name' (just above 'Properties').

I have recently started using Firefox and, although generally pleased with it, I have an issue with the Bookmarks facility. Can anyone help please?
I don't like using the sidebar so tend to use the dropdown from the top bar.
Problem - I can't get the folders into alphabetical order. The sidebar is is in order but the dropdown is all over the place.
