Balanced many a spoked motorcycle wheel and never found it a problem, although once I found a liquid tyre sealant that also acted as a dynamic wheel balancer I gave up with the spoke weights 😁

Trisha, to your post some time ago: the sealed Airfix static kit I have says it's a 35b. Also in my possession, a very old fiberglass lay-up of what I think is such, from back in the day.

Whoever's heard of a black Type 59? King Leopold of Belgium and Ralph Lauren to mention but two. And then there was Ralph Millais whose car was dark blue with red and white go-faster stripes. Most extraordinary behaviour.

The twin-cam Type 51 is distinguishable from the Type 35 by the twin filler caps on the tail.

A whole garage full of Bugatti junk belonging to an erstwhile acquaintance, who once took a herd of elephants over the alps to prove that Hannibal was right. Wolf Zeuner was well known in VSCC/Bugatti circles, but far from pleasant.
