Its probably the magnet that needs to be remagnetised - but you need a device to do this and they are as rare as rocking horse poo. A better/cheaper alternative is there is a guy on ebay selling replacement magnets for RX motors, they use modern materials so are stronger and dont need zapping in place like the old ones.
