Hi, First off I'm new round here so apologies if this has already been covered somewhere else in the forum:

Is there any way of butchering the standard scalextric sport lap counter (small LCD type, runs off AA batteries) and connecting to a parallel port of a PC to make use of one of the available race management software programs?

Thanks

Wedders.

Hi and welcome to TheForum ........

I would very much doubt it ...... but that didn't stop the PB-Pro team and what they achieved with the early and very flaky C7032 powerbases. Realistically, your choices are limited to the C7032 or the C7042 powerbases

Thanks for the reply. I had been looking at a DS200 setup but they're not particularly cheap, although I'm sure they're good quality.

If I wanted to make use of one of the fee software packages available, am I correct in thinking I need to build a dead strip? If so are they any idiot guides showing how to convert a standard straight?

Thanks again..
