Just announced, a special Limited Edition release of the Scalextric Mustang Boss 302 Street Car, 1500 pieces only.

On behalf of Chrome Tag Collectables (www.chrometag.com), INASLOT Distribution is the sole supplier for this model. It can be pre-ordered now at: www.inaslot.com.

C2976A Scalextric 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Limited Edition of 1500 pieces only.

Due to ship 2nd week October.

Exclusively produced for Chrome Tag™ Collectables by Scalextric, this is the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang in 'Grabber Blue'. Assuredly a highly collectable piece with only 1500 available worldwide. Not in the Scalextric catalogue, this model is a one-off special edition for 2009.

One of the most popular and iconic of the entire range, the Boss 302 made it's début in 1969 and continued into 1970 with minor style changes. The G code 302 engine, dramatic styling with optional black hood, rear window shades and a choice of wild paint colours ensured that Ford sold 7013 of the Boss 302 variants in that year.

An enduring true 'Classic', this 1:32 scale slot model of the Boss 302 is faithfully reproduced by Scalextric and is bound to enjoy pride of place in any muscle car or serious slot car collection. Model comes in presentation display box with certified Ltd Ed number and authenticity hologram badge.

With regular Scalextric running gear, this model also has front lights.

Nice to know there are others out there who like street machines best.

Not usually a Mustang fan. But given that it's a street edition, I might have to make an exception. Add to that I know someone who owns a car of this model, gives it an extra incentive.

I much prefer street versions, though somehow I always manage to bolster the collection with racing liveries

Such a shame this is'nt a '69 Boss, I was so looking forward to the yellow car being a direct copy of AJX 302, but then it was released as a '70 model still with AJX 302 licence plates

I think Scalextric (or any 'specialist') could still wring a couple more street versions of the proper '69 version out of the Mustang, I'm sure they would sell well.
Maybe even some Yenko Camaros

1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Limited Edition of 1500 pieces

Yadayada ... am I the only one getting tired of this ltd edition nonsense ?
Not that I would get this car anyway, but all slot cars should be made by the bucket load, die casts are for collecting, slot cars for running

Very nice and I will probably pre order two, BUT, other suppliers can do VAT free (MRE, BTS, etc) being from down under it is a bit much to run the risk of being hit for "local" duty when you have already paid tax at source. I faced the same issue with the Bullitt Mustang and Charger cars which were ordered thru Inaslot but wanted them so much it wasn't an issue. Being in business myself in Oz I know that we get refunded our GST (ozzy VAT equivalent) when we deal with customers who are GST/VAT exempt. Inalsot you are handling some products that attract world wide attention, can you please consider following MRE"s example and provide a VAT free service ? Not a criticism just a request for you to consider something that is a definite attraction to overseas buyers that is cost neutral to you.

QUOTE Not sure why you should miss it. It is on sale for £35.95. Other shops are selling other Mustangs for £37.25.

Is that cheap? Im likely to miss it because the money that I am saving is already going on other slot cars, and thats only if I can continue to save it. Im off to uni in a couple of weeks so after that I wont have any money to spend on slot cars, which will become even more of a luxury to me - I haven't bought one in almost a year. £35.95 will go a long way to keeping me alive. I can't eat a scalextric car, or wash with it etc.

If it's still around when I come back to the hobby, then I will get one, but seeing as its limited edition and all... I doubt it will be.

Cheers

Never mind AM,
by the time you come back, you should be able to get one from frightbay. There's a yellow one on there at the moment, only £125.
Goodluck at uni, £35.95 will buy you a lot of pot noodles

Yikes! Does anyone actually pay that sort of money for one? I know its limited edition but its only a Scaley Mustang, and how common are they?!
And thank you Miker! Yes, yes it will

Scary innit

It is 'buy it now', so if it does go for that price you can bet ya backside loads more will appear at hugely inflated prices. That's the weird world of ebay, these blue versions are on there for pre-order (buy it now) at the same price as the official website, and also on auction format which the last time I looked had reached a higher price than the 'buy it now' type

I'm not aware of the yellow version being 'limited' but they did seem to disapear off the shelves pretty quick. Nothing against people chancing their arm when putting items up for sale at vastly increased prices, at the end of the day, if it's something someone wants bad enough they will pay the money. Good luck to the guy if he gets what he's asking for it.

BTW, baked beans are cheaper than pot noodles.
Seriously, hope uni goes well, and you're not away from slots for too long
