Hi guys and gals

Knowing that i am into my slot cars a friend of mine has sent me pictures of what he believes to be scalextric cars that he has come across in his grandads loft recently

Now... if they are slot cars they are way before my time and knowledge
so was wondering if anyone can identify these cars and possibly give an idea on whether they are valuable or not. They are all tinplate.

The car on the last 2 pictures does not seem to have a guide hole so dont think it is scalextric??

Thanks

These are the first Scalextric (Tinplate) slot cars, introduced in late 1957 and made by Mini Models
The bottom two pictures are of the Scalex Clockwork cars from which the electric cars were developed.
The word 'Scalextric' was formed from the words 'Scalex and Electric' simple but effective

Value?
They are in quite poor condition, the blue Ferrari with the driver maybe £35 the other green Ferrari £20 and the Maserati below it about the same.
In good unscratched condition complete with original driver and steering wheel they would be worth around £100, add £25 if you have a box.
Original drivers are worth £15 on their own.

Looks like there may be some other interesting things there as well?
