Sounds like you're in analog setting on the powerbase or there's a problem with the chip or the car wiring. Put the lane changer flipper manually across to change-lane position and push the car over the lane changer sensor - it should flick back to straight on.
Also, do you have a DPR chip from another car to test it. What powerbase do you have - C7042?
