I use a lot of CF rod and tube in aeromodelling and I usually use CA, ( superglue) the one I use is called ZAP this is VERY strong and comes in a variety of thicknesses I would suggest you use the medium stuff in the green bottle. This is generally availiable from model shops about £5 ish for quite a lot !
