Does anybody know something about them? When will they be released? Or are they released yet? I don't find them here in Belgium. The shop where I frequently go has ordered them, but the guy behind the counter doesn't know when they will be here. He said "it could be even next year..."

I need those seated figures to fill up my grand-stand...

So if you know anything about them, please let me know!!!

I had heard that they would be available, along with the pit buildings, in late August/early September. That was a few weeks back and I've heard nothing since, maybe someone else has a better insight cos i'm really looking forward to the buildings.

The figures pictured are just a sample...correct?

I seem to remember reading that there would be a 'bulk' offering as well, but I'm not sure if that means the same figures with different paint jobs. Does anyone know?

Here's hoping that they have some 'younger' spectators as well. I don't see anyone in the above pics that looks younger than 45, although the facial details are very well done...they make the slot-it babes look somewhat neanderthal-like.

In the catalogue and in the picture above, a given model has the same paint-job. i think in the catalogue i counted something like 12 different models, but there was no pack that seemed to contain 1 of each.

The pictures and details on the Carrera site (www.carrera-toys.de) seem to confirm that there will be 3 sets available - small, big and grandstand.

If the photo's are correctly representative of the contents then:

small: contains 5 figures (2 standing, 3 seated)

big: contains 15 figures (3 standing, 12 seated)

grandstand: contains 20 figures (all seated)

There seem to be 6 different seated figures and 3 different standing figures, used in combinations to make up the numbers in the pack.

To my eyes, they look like they could be some of the best prepainted plastic figures available....but they definately have a erm, European look (especially the guy who likes like he should be skippering a fishing trawler somewhere off the coast of Norway
)
