Hi,
Need a bit of help please, I've got to clear some floor space so my 1/32nd track has got to come up (to go in the shed as a fixed layout at some point). To replace it I have ordered a Carrera Retro Action set which I thought was a bargin at £29.99 post free for 7mtrs of track and cars. Problem is I can't find any reference to what track pieces come in the set. I've looked on the Carrera site and no reference to the set to be found. A Google search only gives dead links or pictures of the box and track as shown on the box (long straight with loop at each end). I want to start designing a layout which needs to be more compact but need to know what track pieces i'm getting. can anyone help??

Never heard of the set, but after doing an image search in Google it looks as though it's a good starter set, A couple longish straights, with an over and under on either end, Looks like about 8 R1's (or maybe R2's) and then a couple pieces that look like one radius larger. I would recommend to by another different set to go with this one. normally sets have plenty of turns and to get the straights you have to buy then separately, because buying more sets just yields more turns, but here you have a bunch of straights so a set with more turns would be nice!

Know what i'm got now as set arrived extra quick (next working day instead of the quoted 5-6)

Another set is usually the cheapest way to get more track, the same piece bought separately would cost nearly twice as much; the bonus is you get extra controllers and a couple more cars!
