, there is a blue Mirage but it's darker than gulf blue, still looks nice though, rarest Mirage is the orange one, made in France.
Don't forget the red one!
The blue is not what I would call dark, but its not baby blue either...

If there was the amount of cheep after market aluminium wheels and motors around back then than there is now, I wonder how hard it would be to get a hold of a somewhere close to original one today?
Cheers,
John.
Been a busy winter at work but have now got time to enjoy the hobby once more...
Here's a few recent acquisitions.Couple of fjs and c7 mini,Vanwall and 917.

Loving the blur Vanwall Albruk. 👍
Was a non runner and in a sorry state when I got it...Cleaned up the armature and brushes and a general tidying. Removed most of the badly applied decals and fitted new roundels.
Runs not bad now for an old model!!

Annoying that they have the windscreen wipers the wrong way round. Ditto on the Mr Bean mini. Wake up Scalextric, when they changed to hidden door hinges in 1970 they also changed the wiper set up. Who did the pass off on these? Not difficult to get it right...

I find Sideways with a simple going over to be most agreeable on my track, ironically sideways In name only.

Im having trouble with my sideways bmw the front end just keeps rattling up and down which is making it difficult to drive.. Any ideas running on scalextric sport track
Is the guide a bit too deep?
No it's not the guide that's hitting the bottom of the slot.. its just flickering up and down at the front otherwise it's a beautiful car sounds so smooth.

I would suggest to start another thread and post some pics of the car - what tuning steps you took etc.

A new acquisition today, namely, Scalextric's interpretation of the Patkes/Scarfiotti P4 that finished second at Le Mans, 1967. A rather like it.
