They are pretty, but don't run very well. They take some work. I haven't had the patience to lower and tune mine.

One of the few advantages of practicing law is that often have clients/friends with more money than you(thats me), I have a fríend with a DB9 Street car of course, so the other day he gaves it to the Driver to drive it to the pollution check inspection... Too bad the Driver didnt know the hand brake was at the left side of the seat, as he drove it with the hand brake on, the story ends with a hand brake burn and gearbox damaged, a Driver fired and a £4000 Bill in repairs!

So the moral of the story is be happy and drive a Toyota , leave the Aston for the Slot Track.
OK, sorry, had to laugh. For a number of reasons, this is funny!

A driver who can't tell the hand brake is on?
A DB9, I am sure, has a dash board WARNING LIGHT, probably with a DUNCE CAP on a head, that warns you.... HAND BRAKE ON!!
You are still doing POLLUTION CHECKS!? That is funny. This was the biggest tax grab scam going. Almost all the cars passed the inspection!!! Eventually, we cancelled the program.

AND ....

You have a driver to take your car in for the inspection? OK, I like that. BUT .... you (not you, your friend) hired a DORK! lol

OK, sorry, but I had to laugh. I just wish I had enough money to spend on a DB9. What are they up to now, DB11? Sweet sweet car!

So maybe we can get back to the reason this thread exists, "Cars Bought in 2021"

Scored these at the St. Louis slot car show last Sunday.
$145 for the lot. Three unboxed cars were new items that had been displayed at a show. White Porsche is a Fly podded car. There were more of these Porsches and Sideways cars left on the table.
Ah - slot car shows

Dingleberry

Those wheels are Ninco Pro Race items. They came with cars that were part of the lightning range, of what I call "Swan Song" cars from Ninco as they effectively left the market. I had more or less the last stock of these in the UK, all gone except for the sets I saved for my use.

I think they were all 17" air rims, though with 4 blades (not 2, like NSR/Slot It etc.) i can't say it made much difference, re tyre movement. They came in sliver aluminium or a dark grey metallic finish. This is one of my favourite design, one piece, 5 spokes. For the club track I'm mostly on15" wheels - so these wheels are on a lot of Ninco cars, as upgrades and home racing.

My other favourite wheel is the Fly Racing all aluminium 5-spoke wheels with brake disc detail. Again, can't get anymore. I try to pick up "cheap" Porsche 911 GT1 98 models (among others form the "racing" range) and remove wheels, refit Fly cars with Slot It axles, wheels etc. and re-sell.

I hope that helps.

The question... what speed (in m/s) am I likely to see from this pair?

Today I have received 10 cars from my family. I will post photos throughout today as I'm very happy and also because the forum keeps crashing on me.
1st is a Fleischmann Porsche 917/10 Can Am car. This is my 1st 917/10. It's a very wide car and is a new model to my collection.
2nd is a SCX Toyota Celica, this is my 1st Celica with this body style.
3rd is a Scalextric Ford Taurus, I already have the Robo Racer car this one pairs with in a set.
