Hi, I poped in on saturday for a look, was made very welcome thanks, so now I am looking on the usual sites for cars and contollers to race with for myself and my 2 daughters. What cars are popular and does it make a differance on types, ie rally cars, touring cars, le mans type etc. Will only be racing on saturdays due to other commitments and hoping it will be a fun thing to do with the kids( untill they start thrashing me lol). Cheers

I also have a small track at home and have started a car collection, will post some pics when I get chance.

Came on Saturday with one of my daughters and was made to feel very welcome. Thanks to Simon and Rod for lending us controllers and cars so we could race, it was brill and we will certainly return with my other daughter who was ill and gutted when we got home and told her all about it. I am now searching the auction site we all love for cars etc.

Are there any other cars apart from the american muscle mutangs and camaros and the "shovel fronts" that go well round the track. I like the look of the tvr speed 12 and the 400 and also the corvette c6r gt2 just for something different? Anything else that goes well? Do you ever run an F1 class? Sorry about the questions, I always think of them when I get home.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you are enjoying the club.

We used to run an F1 class on a Thursday but as the cars are so brittle and lets face it, an F1 car without a nose cone or rear wing is ugly!. I used to like this class but it became to expensive. However, we have not raced this class since we installed the variable power supply......just a thought!

The new Scalextric Peugeot 908's are now available (you may have seen the two at the club on Saturday). We think they are going to be very good on our Ninco plastic track and our contact at Modelzone Birmingham has advised that they have plenty in stock.

See you Thursday.
