I won't get into the "accuracy/detail" arguement, but at roughly $75US it IS a bit pricey compared to Scalextric's at about $45US.
Oh, about the "pod"...seems like it's the next new thing from Scalextric...it's on their new "American Classic" Corvette too...might be something one might have to learn to accept...
