There appears to be a problem with the interpretation of the rules at the last round concerning controllers, to make it clear. the rules are no electrical aids on controllers these should be of SINGLE resistor only of any make. Please can you all asure that your club members adhere to this, also when you are visiting clubs and are practising please make sure that you use the correct type of tyres and not silicones
.
See you all there for a good days racing, dont forget that all races count at this round.

hope to announce the date for the round at MHSC some time this week once we have sorted out who our landlords are.

Nightrider I was just using the forum as an information stage, to let everyone know that some indiscrections had been noticed and discussed by the committee, I am suprised by Abbos points on this thread and again wonder who is being accused, (maybe the committee should be more watchfull because I have not noticed anything).
Lets keep this series fun the rules are simple enough after all just turn up with a STANDARD controller of single resistance and race the cars are supplied.

Abbo can you email me along with the rest of the committee with this info

John,
was going to ask for your club calender for the next few weeks then remember the strange way your club runs, please let everyone else into your secret.
Cheers
Zen
Russ,
if you dont mind the smoke maybe we can arrange an evening, might even get the magician envolved which will negate the smoking problem

Hi mate
Great days racing thanks, good to see everyone again, and to see a few more from your club, sad Wayne wasn't there.
Zak sorry to hear that you cant make the last round but hope to see you at the next round seems like the 29th is favourite!!!.
Anyone know Pauls site address I have renewed my PC and have lost a lot of info.

Sorry as usual it would appear that I have caused some confussion!!!, I asked at the westlondon round that MHSC be allowed to run the last round of the series as the winners of last years events, there were no objections at the time, but sel avi, it aint going to happen. and Burnt oak/Nascot woods round will be the last one, maybe Marc could look at changing the date to accommadate Zaks team but I am quite happy with the 6th May.
I am not quite sure what Nic is going on about, the rules are clear, and as far as I am concerned, each club does the best to conform to them, there have always been some problems that with good humour have been able to accommadated, and I hope we can continue in the same vein.
Also can I take this oppertunity to clear up for Nic who the club reps are, Nic they are not the club chairmen, they are members of the clubs asked by originally greymalkin, mooster and I, who ask the club members if they wanted to take part, that is why Matt, Marc, Kieth and Jon white and John are the representatives, I have no idea why you were told it was the clubs chairmen, if anyone else knows can you please let me know.
I have confirmed the 29th of April for the MHSC round, and unless we hear otherwise Marcs round will be on the 6th May.
This has always been a cheap championship that has been a pleasure to take part in, I hope it will continue to be, it is loosely run with really only one diffinate rule, 'NO ELECTRIC CONTROLLERS', the cars are supplied by the clubs and the atmosphere by those that attend, we are racing TOY cars and it is fun, long may it continue.

NIC

FOR GODS SAKE, the rules are quite simple, no stupid electric controllers, cars supplied by the host club, top four from each team score for their club in the league, each person scores for themselves in the championship, no other rules, far to simple I suppose, these are simplified of course but remain the basic rules.
There has always been a verbal agreement that we should race to the hosting clubs rules so there were no rules around restart reruns or straights, as these were down tO the hosting club, sorry maybe we should have dealt with this but when the series was setup we used the KISS system along with the WYSIWYG approach to these asw e were racing to the host clubs rules, maybe the committee should discuss these away from the forum via emails using respond to all.
I have always said that we should use the forum to advertise the series and that any advertising is good but I think enough is enough and that any futher discussion be done of forum.
IT IS A GOOD SERIES LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY

I bow to your intellect, yes I meant single resistor controllers with no added switches and no facility to change the resistance whilst racing,no electrickery to record where you are losing time on a lap, and no variable breaking, just a plain ordinary single resistor controller,(one or two fingers up to you), thumb controllers or even home made rythme sticks as long as they are of single resistor configuration.
Oh happy days
Zen
Look forward to seeing you, the devil is in the detail, as far as the controllers are concerned, there is an obvious advantage when using them, and to some degree the more you spend the better the performance, the same applies with standard controllers, so why bring another variable into the equation.
Zen
PS Once you have sorted the controller out you will find the better drivers still rise to the top, just like cream
I have seen the light, but this doesnt change the fact that this series was setup not using them, I can see no reason why we as a country do so badly when we go abroad, but I cannot agree with those that state its due to us not using electronic controllers, that is a crock of B/S.

As a complete computer numpty, I am envious of yous guys I wish I had half the computer skills you have.
Phil you have missed the point slightly. the cars are supplied by the hosting club therefore requiring no setup or alteration, so they are optomized by the club thus providing an equal playing field for all compeditors.

Zen
Maybe a series idea using the same principle but with electric controllers, to run during the summer local clubs???, you have the rules for the series I think I sent them to you when we asked if you wanted to join us before.

Phil once again the devil is in the detail, it is not an electronic controller but it does have switches that allow for alternate setup, not allowed.
Graham has a controller that you can change the resistors on, but you have to remove them first, allowed.
There is a myth that electronic controllers are all singing all dancing items that increase your speed, they dont, they give an advantage in breaking you dont have to wait for the wiper to travel the length of the resistor before get full brakes and these can be adjusted, they can be setup to limit wheel spin via resistance settings on the power supply, so appear to give you more speed, they dont, and as far as I know none of them have a capacitors on board.
We could eliminate all problems as far as these controllers are concerned by running all tracks using very large batteries.

Maybe the definative responce should be 'single resistor controllers, with no additional driver aids either external boxes or swithches either internal or external on the handles', nuff said
