I remember years back (decades) there used to be an annual show in Dalton, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago. Since my interest in the hobby was rekindled during the Pandemic, I haven't seen nor heard of anything in the Chicago area.

Does anyone have any info on the subject that I am not aware of?

March 19, Highland, Indiana. I think that's more or less the successor to Dalton, but not really sure - have never been to one of these. Found this on a simple Google search by the way, but had earlier seen a poster on Facebook.

Darn. It's an eight hour drive from my place. Plus a border crossing. I'll never make it now.

Not that I could afford the gas, meals, or hotel either.

I'm only joking. We just had a local slot car show on March 5th. I was planning to go to the Cleveland show in April. Then I looked at the expenses for the trip (About $400). I had no conscience easily blowing that at the local show. I can't afford to go to Cleveland now. But I really don't mind. Plus I saved 14-hours of driving. It's all good.

Purchases from the show are slowly coming out on "What's a few more cars?" thread.

The original promoter is gone but the Highland show is a continuation of the old Dalton shows. I haven't been for a long time, but it's still probablay the best in the US.
