It mite do a couple of laps then just stops along a straight

hi Ade
do you have the orange capacitor fitted at the pick up feet and at the motor terminals?? And is the braid plate a nice snug fit on the guide flag.??

Also try running it with the rear wheels in the air and blip the throttle across the entire range and see if it changes id then..

hi
as it runs in the air no problem then it has to be interference on track.

So even though other cars have run without it it may be worth trying to add the capacitor to the pick up feet or claim the chip is faulty and ask for a refund..

You can send the car to me if you wish Ade and i will have a look at it for you.

Ade .... are you saying that you do not have any LCs in this circuit or that the ID is lost before the car reaches them?

What version of firmware are you using??

Try running the car with the "suspect" chip in a dark room. You will need to get down low and watch for small sparks from the braids contacting the track. You might get sparking occuring at track joints not just at LCs. If you see any sparks then it is likely that these will be causing disruption to the firmware in the chip.

Another thing to try is to subject your track a good dose of negative air pressure via a vacuum cleaner .......
