Race Report for the Christmas bash.

With 15 turning up to race the final club cars/xmas bash of the year it turned out to be quite an exiting night. In the "D" final was Josh, Ian and Geoff and it was Geoff who was in the lead at the end of the 1st segment followed by Josh and Ian by the end of the second segment it was Josh who had taken the lead which he kept until the end with a time only two were able to beat with Geoff and Ian in 2nd and 3rd. In the 3rd segment Ian passed Geoff for second place and that's how it finished. In the "C" final was Greg, Ralph, Steve and Derek, it was Steve who took the lead followed by Greg, Ralph and Derek and that's how it stayed until the end of the 3rd segment but in the 4th segment Greg passed Steve who was on the dreaded red lane to win with Steve 2nd, Ralph 3rd and Derek 4th.In the "B" final was Sandy, Rich, Sue and Frank, Sandy took the lead from the start which she never lost in 2nd was Frank, Rich was 3rd and Sue 4th, then it all began to change as Sue took 2nd place from Frank and then Rich did the same so it was Sandy 1st, Sue 2nd, Rich 3rd and Frank 4th. In the "A" final was Simon, Dave, Brian and Keith, and what a frantic race it was , Keith took the lead with Dave 2nd, Brian 3rd and Simon 4th, in the second segment Keith still led Brian moved up to 2nd Dave 3rd and Simon 4th, In the 3rd segment it changed again with Brian taking the lead from Keith with Simon passing Dave for 3rd place and it was all set up for a grand finale with Brian in with a real chance of beating Sandy's winning time but on the dreaded red lane he threw it all away and was passed by Keith who took the win with Brian 2nd, Dave 3rd and Simon 4th only a 1/4 of a lap behind.Driver(s) of the night were everyone (it's xmas) and when you consider that the difference between the fastest lap of the winner and the one in 10th place was only 1/10th of a second we can see just how close it was. The top three were Sandy,Keith and Josh.

See you sll soon Sandy xx
