For track cleaning, apart from the excellent resource given above by JohnP, you can do alot worse than do an Ebay search for Plebys track cleaning kits.
I would not neccessarily recommend them for cleaning up brand new track because the materials tend to be a little corrosive but for old track in a seriously bad way the kits work wonders and the prices are great.
