Hi!

As a newbie I would like to know what you use for cleaning your tyres and your track. I own a Ninco track.

I have a couple of Ninco BMW M3's and would like to know if anyone have tuning tips for them. Would it for instance be a good idea to add metal gears, ball bearings etc??

Best regards

I just use a hoover for the tracks. I know some people use WD40, but i havent done that yet (only had the track for a couple of months)

After truing the tires i dont really use anything. But when they eventually collects a lot of dust, i just vipe it of with a cotton cloth.

imho:

wd40 - whilst it does reduce the chance of corrosion, makes the track collect dirt and dust quicker, so I have stopped using this

vacuum - can suck up bits of cars that have fallen off (wing mirror, grill, wiper), perhaps before you have noticed it is missing. So only do this with caution

RoboClean - hi tech slot cleaning truck - this is designed to clean the rails, not the track surface, which was the main problem I have. Also it is too tall to go under my bridge.

used to run cars round, cleaning the tyres with sellotape after a couple of laps, until the tyres came back clean. (Also use petrol lighter fluid to clean tyres sometimes)

Now I prefer cleaning with a swiffer cloth or a tack rag. Cos I am lazy, i turned a chassis into a swiffer car that can drive the cloth around
