sticky tape is my preferred method too - if the tyres are really filthy, i use my thumbnail to push the tape into the tread, the tyre ends up looking like new. Also sometimes use petrol lighter fluid and a rag (I think some of the fluid might soak into or react with the tyre - in a good/more grip sort of way, but not positive on that)

As above - roll tyres over tape or I give them a good lighter fluid soaking and then give the wheels a good spin (only if your club allows). At home I stick with the tape.

However if you use sticky tape once you go off the racing line you pick up loads more gunk whereas the lighter fluid method cleans your tyres but doesn't mean they pick up quite so much gunk if you come off the racing line.

3 in 1 rocks !
Rub that little beauty in your tyres twice a day for two weeks (leaving a good few hours inbetween for them to dry) and you got some serious sticky rubber.

Can't remember who on here told me about this - but its fantastic !
