Nicholas was out to break the Lap record and achieved it! Setting a new time of 10.28. Beating Terry Smith's previous record of 10.34 and tying for the race record too (I think).
Big congratulations to Yusef on his excellent 2nd place! Not bad for his first time racing these tricky to handle cars and in his first year of racing! We better watch out for this one!
All in all an interesting night of racing. We had no power sockets at all when we first set up. Time was spent tracing an errant faulty lead and the fuse box, but soon sorted. The red lane car suffered from an intermittent fault that caused the car to just stop and an overheating motor requiring a change of car and a couple of reruns for some. Crashes, odd straight line deslots, roll overs ... all part of racing Ninco Jag XK120s I suppose.
