Club Raffle or Tombola

Most of you know that we have to move our tracks to new premises and most of the club members are making heroic efforts to build the clubroom before we can move the tracks. The work is going fantastically well. There are however going to be some costs that have to be met. The club finances are quite healthy at the moment but they can always do with a little top up. The plan is to hold a year-long raffle or tombola. Members can buy tickets and sell to other people throughout the year. My plan is to sell tickets at the Milton Keynes swap meet and, if the organisers are happy at Early birds and any and all the other events we attend. With all the National events that we hold at our club we should be able to sell a healthy number of tickets. The aim is to be able to raise enough money so that we can improve the standard of the new club rooms beyond just the bare necessities. I hope you will not only support this but actively promote the sale of tickets to others. It will be a way that other people can donate money to the club should they wish to help out a little.
As for prizes, I've got the two large pictures in the Club one of a Bentley and the other of Senna. I will be asking for donations from just about anybody who may be helpful throughout the year. If there are any traders or suppliers reading this that would be prepared to donate prizes I will be very grateful. I will be asking anyone at the Milton Keynes Swap meet. The plan is to hold the draw at our Christmas cracker event which we hold halfway between Christmas and New Year. I will start a separate thread showing pictures of the prizes that have been donated so far.
