Hi, I'm new to the forum & starting to think about making a large semi permanent track that can be broken down into several separate boards for storage

I would like to make my own cables like the ones in the link below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCALEXTRIC-Digit...=item4cfe16ea01

Does anyone have Farnell or RS part numbers for the throttle extension cable parts, connector's cable?

Additionally does anyone know the crimp part numbers for the extended power cables or do most people solder them on?

Thanks

Karl

Karl, welcome to the forum!

I've just bought a load of bits for this very purpose. I used various bits that I have seen Mr Modifier use (for his portable hire scaley digital track) and the multi way connectors used on our clubs moveable track (Wye Vally club).

Here's the throttle extenders:
Female component
Male component and extension cable

Here's the multiway connectors (will route power and data from my seperated APB through this).
Connector block

Cheap as chips mate!

Thanks

For some reason i was thinking that they were stereo jacks & not mono.

The power blocks are only 7A, i was looking for a 10Amp male & female flat connector, is a 7AMP terminal strip enough?

Regards
