contact cleaner for motors

Any suggestions on what can cheaply, and easily, be purchased to clean the eletrical contacts of motors? i have heard that WD40 can be used, but would like further advice on this.

Any ideas?

Paul, Servisol (from Maplins) used to be a firm favourite at Maidenhead with the open SCX cans - you could give a quick squirt before a race and guarantee a two to three lap performance boost; nitrous for 1:32!
